Here my selected visual communication tools for this week:

  1. Vcasmo: Combine PowerPoint files with videos, images and sounds, and embed your creation anywhere
  2. MyPlick: Create a slideshow with your PowerPoint presentations, PDFs, images, and all sorts of files
  3. ImageDiff: Compare two images in seconds, and look at their differences with a glance
  4. PicMe: Freeware application scans your photo library and displays your image in a 3D interface
  5. Resize.it: Resize images online with no additional software, and export them in GIF, PNG or JPG format
  6. PictureFul: Web-based image editor allows you to upload and edit any picture without registering
  7. Anjo.to: Provide a URL or search for a YouTube video, and convert it only to all major formats
  8. Zorro: Crop your screen for better watching videos and images, by blacking out unwanted screen parts

    Vcasmo is an online presentation tool that enables you to combine your PowerPoint presentation videos, images or a voice over. After a free sign up, you can upload your presentation and your multimedia files, and you can start mashing them together. The completed video can be embedded in your personal website or blog. Free to use.

    MyPlick is web-site that lets you create slideshows online. Images, PowerPoint presentations, PDF documents and all sorts of files can be uploaded (at once) to create your slide show. You can include audio along with your slideshow and notes for each slide. When you're done, you can embed your creation on every web-site or blog. Free to use.

    ImageDiff is a free downloadable software that anyone can use to compare two pictures. You can compare any type of image, even in different formats than each other (including JPG, GIF, BMP, TIF, PNG and more), in a matter of seconds: just select the images, and it will overlay the original image to see exactly where changes have occurred. You can also compare images of different sizes, as imageDiff will scale and compare them automatically. Free.

    PicMe is a freeware application that scans your digital photo library and displays your images in a 3D stacked interface. You can use it to browse also to share photos, either with photo sharing webapps like Flickr, Picasa Web Albums, or Facebook, or with PicMe contacts. The free version allows you to share 200 print-quality photos. Free to download and use, for Windows machines only.

    Resize.it is a free web-service that lets you resize images online without using any other software. When you are on the homepage, you can choose between four different modes: you can resize pictures in portrait mode, landscape mode, crop pictures, or choose the advanced mode which lets you do both with personalized settings. You can then export your picture in GIF, PNG or JPG format. Free to use, no registration needed.

    PictureFul is a free web-based image editor that you can use to edit any picture online. Just select the file you want to edit and click upload to start editing it: you can rotate, change orientation, resize and apply effects to any picture, with no need to install any additional software. The service is completely free to use with no registration needed.

    Anjo.to in an online video converter that allows you to convert videos from YouTube online. You can enter the video URL, or enter a search-word and browse between all the videos, select the output format between FLV, 3GP, Mp4, AVI, MOV, and also Mp3-audio-only, and click send. You will then be provided with a download link to get your new converted file. Free.

  8. Zorro

    Zorro is a freeware Windows -only application that you can use to literally crop your screen for better watching videos and images. It does so by blacking out all content that isn't your video, images, or what you are looking at, including your browser window: just launch it, resize it so whatever you want to isolate is inside Zorro's boundaries, and hit escape to black out everything outside the Zorro window. Free to download and use.
