Blog Commenting Systems: Disqus? Or Something Else?
It's been barely a couple weeks since I have started testing the Disqus commenting system here on Master New Media. The new blog commenting system is active on all new blog posts or on old ones where there were no comments. Disqus has a bunch of really cool features but there are also a few critical things which have left me thinking.
Is it ok for your comments not to physically reside anymore on your server?
Is it ok that all of the user-generated content coming in from the comments is un-indexable on my site, but fully indexable on Disqus?
What are your ideas? Suggestions? Recommendations?
