Social Networking At Its Best: Tribe.net Meets MoveOn.org Meets MeetUp.com
The British Broadcasting Corporation has launched a sophisticated activism Web site that it hopes will get people more involved with their communities and provide tools to help them get government officials to address their concerns.
The new service, launched on Oct. 22 is called iCan and is presently still in beta stage.
iCan, integrates social networking, content publishing and campaign-organization tools to support social and political activism.
On the site free access services are offered to:
a) find people and organizations,
b) find key information and guides,
