Create an installation wizard for your applications

SetupStream 2
= must have
Software Utility (Win)
FREE

Do you want to make it as easy and fast as possible for your users to download and install tools from your Web site? Then use SetupStream and create a wizard that sets up your files on their local computers. If you have never done this before, don’t worry: SetupStream is extremely easy to use and guides you step by step through the process.

First you specify some information about your application that will be available for the user (like title, version and URL), then you select the files and folders that you want to include in the installation package. If you want, you can define registry changes to be made during installation, create a serial number and include a license agreement. You can allow your users quick access to your application by defining shortcuts, e.g. from the desktop.

There are even more features available, but I suggest that you check them out yourself. Downloading SetupStream will take you approximately 8 minutes with 64kbps and installation is very easy as the installation package is created with SetupStream itself.

The Virtualzone (developer) Web site says about SetupStream: “It is meant to be a serious alternative to commercial Installation Suites.” In fact, it is. The product is free, but offers a professionally looking, highly usable interface and many useful features for your wizard.
