An award-winning utility that should be in every webmaster ammunition bag is tiny Switch Off. This is a great utility that allows to perform a set of remotely controllable tasks on a selected PC. Functions available allow you to shutdown, lock or restart your remote PC, disconnect an Internet connection, and more.

Tasks can be scheduled and can be remotely launched from a standard web browser. The web interface includes WAP support, allowing you to manage remote control tasks from your WAP-enabled phone.

The program is less than 100 KB and is compatible with all Windows operating systems.

Switch Off has a simple, very well designed and elegant interface. Functions and commands are well laid out and utilize simple to understand terminology. Check out a few screenshot of this great little tool at:

The easy to use interface can be put to good use right away.
This freeware integrates also a Multilanguage interface which has been made possible by the kind volunteer contributions of Switch OFF users. So far they have made available 16 different language versions. By accessing you can either download one of these language modules or download the text file that allows you to localize the interface commands to your own language.

The latest version 2.3, has been released about a month ago.
