Guidelines
FREE
A new project originating at the Computer and Information Science Department at the University of Strathclyde, UK, EBONI strives to provide useful guidelines and baseline standards for the creation of effective and highly usable electronic documents and hypertexts.
The guidelines cover two major and distinct areas:
1) On-screen design guidelines
2) Hardware technology recommendations
The guidelines are a must read for any content author involved in developing online materials, e-learning content, electronic reports, e-books or other electronic publication.
The suggestions and recommendations provided in the guidelines are very useful and well written and focus on the use of approaches and methods that would guarantee maximum ease of use and accessibility to its users.
My personal thanks to the two authors who have been able to create such valuable reference work. (Ruth Wilson and Monica Landoni of the Computer and Information Science Department).
Recommended.
