New Microsoft Office Toolbar Translates For You On The Fly

PCWorld.com - Microsoft Office Goes International

SDL International launched yesterday a translation toolbar for Microsoft's Office and Outlook software.

The toolbar is a service that costs less than USD $ 3.50 per month ($39.95 per year) and offers translation for English, Dutch, French, Italian, German, Norwegian, Portuguese, and Spanish.

To sign-up or find out more please head to SDL International sign-up page.

The toolbar, which works with Office and Outlook versions 2000, XP, and 2003, will translate text on a page without losing formatting, and without the usual small word limit of Web translation services, said Steve Westover, SDL's translation technology program manager.
The service costs $39.95 per year and offers translation for English, Dutch, French, Italian, German, Norwegian, Portuguese, and Spanish.

David Dillard

I have read your articles in Netsites and
reposted to Net-Happenings over a long period
of time. Netsites, as you know, is gone. I
was contacted in July 2003 by a trainer in
California who wanted to replace Netsites.
I suggested the name Netgold. He asked me to
moderate the group and I agreed. As a matter of
fact, a discussion on a medieval history discussion group about translation sites on the internet has caused me to put together a message that I am still working on that will be posted shortly and will mention a few of your articles
and your index page of all of your posts with
links.

The purpose of my contacting you is that I would
like you to join NetGold. Your post will be welcome there and with your standing permission, I will repost messages from you when and where appropriate to other lists. One list that I repost to is Net-Happenings.

Regardless of whether you join NetGold or not, you should be told, as I am sure that you have been, that you have put some very valuable resource posts out there and are to be complemented for your hard efforts in informing others about internet tools and resources.

Sincerely,
David Dillard
