  6. Jjot: Web-based service allows you to take notes and to share them with other people
  7. PlotBot: Collaborative writing software enables you to write text with other people
  8. Bing: Java-based mobile instant messenger allows you to chat with people from your mobile phone




Online Collaboration Technologies - New Tools And Web Services

  1. Transfer Big Files
    Transfer Big Files is a free online service that anyone can use to share files online. With no registration needed (registered accounts can also manage files), you can upload any file up to 2GB of size and share it with anyone just by typing in their email address. You can also include a message for the recipients, add a password to protect the files, and it features a progress bar for you to monitor the file upload. Free to use.

  2. PixaMSN
    PixaMSN is a portable MSN Messenger client which writes no files to your hard disk or registry so it can be stored and run completely on a portable device such USB flashdisks or portable hard disks. It allows you to log into your MSN and Windows Live Messenger accounts through a simple interface, automatically logging you in as invisible to other users. Once your logged in, you can change your status to online. Free to use.

  3. AJAXWorkspace
    AJAXWorkspace is a free web-based application which consists of an integrated suite of simple and easy-to-use collaboration functionalities. You can organize your tasks, share files and documents, manage projects and coordinate your team member. Individual and corporate accounts are available, with different storage space (50MB for the free version). Click here to check the other versions.

  4. GroupLoop
    GroupLoop provides a simple place for you to share and archive files, discuss with your team, and manage meetings with a web-calendar. The free account gives you up to 25 groups members, with one committee, 3MB of file storage, 12 calendar events, and unlimited messages between users.   5. Xpanity
    Xpanity is a browser plug-in that allows you to chat with other people visiting the same web-page as you. All you have to do is to download and install a small application, and then you can start browsing and talk with the people looking the same site. Plus, you can "stick" comments to a page, so that everyone can see them.

  6. Jjot
    Jjot is a web-based service that you can use to take notes, access them from anywhere and share them. You can create as many notes as you want, format the text, add links, drag and drop notes to arrange them, and also print them. Plus, you can share them with everyone via email, and grant people the ability to edit them for you. Free to use.

  7. PlotBot
    PlotBot is a collaborative writing software that enables you to write text with other people helping you. You can create private projects to work alone or with invited friends, or you can create public projects too allow anyone to join. All changes are tracked to each writer, and you can revert to prior versions at any time. It requires registration and is free.

  8. Bing
    Bing is a mobile instant messenger that works on any java enables mobile phone. Simply download and install it on you mobile device, and you are ready to start chatting with your MSN, ICQ and AIM contacts from anywhere. It is free to download and use.
