RSS NewsMasters: The Mac Maybe Your Next Publishing Platform

Great news for Mac owners and for news and content publishers leveraging RSS newsfeeds for distribution, news gathering and independent publishing. Yesterday, at the annual //">World Wide Developers Conference Apple announced the new version of its future Mac OSX "Tiger" which includes 150 new features, as well as enhancements to content output (RSS), audio, video and search. //">According to, the new Mac OSX Tiger operating system will natively support the RSS standard: "Apple said it would back the technology (RSS) and Atom protocols in its Safari Web browser." RSS is used to receive and generate RSS newsfeeds and "allows for personalized searches." On another, parallel front, yesterday saw also the launch of a new Mac-based collaborative content gathering and publishing tool that integrates some very innovative and well thought out features. //">Flow, the name of this new application launched by //">Near-Time is both a capable and swift knowledge manager capable of gathering content blocks and components with extreme ease while offering tools and facilities to easily aggregate and publish it under multiple formats, including RSS.
