This week too, there is a long list of new media tools and technologies that can facilitate more effective communication, promotion, marketing, networking and your ability to discover like-minded individuals and organizations around the world.

  1. Castpost

Castpost is a new web-based service that offers an easy way to broadcast your personal video and audio clips. With Castpost, you can share your personal media - like a home movie, a reality TV show audition, a voicemail message, a weekly podcast show - with family, friends, and other folks. Your clip can be seen and heard both online and offline - from your Castpost account, from your existing Typepad or Blogger blog, from another website, or from a mobile media player like an iPod. Users who sign up during Castpost's alpha test period will receive a year of free basic service. Alpha accounts will have unlimited bandwidth and 100MB storage.

  2. nexImage
nexImage is a fully functional browser-based image editor that integrates current image processing tools directly in your web application without the need for plugins, ActiveX or a Java VM. nexImage provides word processing tools and the integrated file manager allows image files from a pre-defined server drive to be opened for processing. The server drive access can also take place via FTP connection. nexImage also allows image files to be uploaded from an URL or a local drive.
    Free to use.

  3. Q-Ads
Q-Ads is a service that allows you to choose which advertisements to put onto your website or in RSS feeds by selecting specific keywords. Unlike Google AdSense, you have total control over the advertisements your visitors see, because they are no longer bound to the content, but to your personal choice. Q-Ads automatically displays the highest paying ads for each keyword you choose. Q-Ads makes monthly revenue share payments to clients based on a percentage of the click through revenue collected. Free sign up.

  4. Bridgit
With Bridgit conferencing software, you can hold a meeting with anyone across the office or around the world, as it offers a simple and affordable way to share voice, video and data over the Internet. With just an Internet connection, you can write over any application or take control of other participants' desktops and talk to them. Bridgit also allows users to see video from up to four participant sites and has a built-in VoIP system. Bridgit conferencing software 3.0 for the Microsoft Windows operating system is available on a subscription basis starting at US$29.99 per user, per month. Try it free.

  5. Odiogo
Odiogo extracts the relevant text from web pages and convert it into a spoken word mp3 file that you can listen on any mp3 portable player. Odiogo allows to convert any RSS feed into a podcast: in other words, if a website provides a RSS feed, you can podcast it with Odiogo. Odiogo comes with more than 200 news feeds to choose from. Most popular feeds include: The New York Times, CNN, Time Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, CNET News, Wired Magazine, BBC News, Washington Post, RollingStone and more. Odiogo automatically downloads updates of this list to provide you with the latest RSS feeds. No trial version offered. Odiogo costs $29.99.

  6. Oltiby

Oltiby provides a reverse auction service for consumers, businesses and other organizations which enables them to specify in detail what they want to buy and get offers. Sellers compete against each other in real-time auctions to win buyers, driving down the price in the process. All items offered at Oltiby are being purchased and sold by Internet users and not by Oltiby. Buyers and sellers are solely responsible for making sure that all the transactions (monetary and shipping) are completed. All applicants are screened for quality control and sensitive data is encrypted for security. New applicants can join for free.

  7. Slawesome
Slawesome is a web-based service that allows you to send emails with your voice. Once you have registered, you can record a message of up to 2 minutes and send it to any number of email addresses. A link to the file is included in the email. At this time there is no functionality for downloading the sound file. Messages are archived and can be set to private or public status. Slawesome does not require download and it's completely free to use.

Ziggs Profile and Ziggs Profile Manager are free, whereas Ziggs WebPro Service, which provides top-listing in all major search engines, is available at $4.95 per month.

  9. Numly
Numly assigns electronic serial numbers for all things digital. These unique identifiers provide digital rights management capabilities as well as third-party measures for proof of copyright via real-time verifications. Numly Numbers are simple and quick to generate and they act as an electronic timestamp for copyright purposes. They can also be used to digitally certify email. Numly numbers also allow you to track content viewership, monitor ratings, and can be used as permalinks. Numly Numbers costs are currently free.

  10. Senserely
Senserely is a Google AdSense revenue sharing community and its purpose is to enable you (as an AdSense publisher) to increase your AdSense revenue with minimal effort, both on your own site and directly on Senserely. You can contribute to Senserely by publishing your own content and you'll get the income related to clicks. In addition, you benefit from all pages within the community, not just yours. Since there's no limit to how much content you can submit, there's no limit on how much money you can earn. Free trial sign up.
