Tailrank is a memetracker which finds the most popular posts from thousands of blogs. Tailrank looks at linking behavior, the entry's content, links in common with other users, search relevance and other factors.
Tailrank's blog covers product direction, feature releases and other Tailrank news. The site also has a mobile edition for those on the go with cell phone and small devices. Just create an account, import your OPML, and then you can read it on your mobile device.
Tailrank filter lets you view recommended posts within your blog subscriptions filtered by ranking. This saves time in scouring hundreds of feeds as Tailrank lists thousands of posts every week. The site also offers tools to help users.
To submit your blog to Tailrank requires free registration. Once you've registered, you can import your weblog feeds from an RSS reader like NewsGator or Bloglines or you can enter a URL. enter the blog's information into the Add a Company page. You don't have to fill in all of the fields.
The frequently asked questions page states, "You don't need to do anything other than have other people link to and discuss your content. If people aren't linking to you or talking about a specific blog post or some news story about your product or weblog then Tailrank won't index it."

HappyFish is an RSS reader, podcast client and feed directory. HappyFish mainly provides software for you to download and add feeds. But it does have a growing directory in which you can download feeds by subject.

The forums discuss bugs, feature requests and general comments.
To submit your feed to HappyFish, you can use the form or upload your OPML file. In the form, enter your feed title, URL, category, description and your name.

Free Feeds Directory is a basic feeds directory with links to RSS-related sites and their feeds as well as to sites that have feeds including blogs, business and retail sites and more. Check out the latest links to see the most recently submitted links and a description of each. The links take you straight to their respective feeds.
Top Hits just like it sounds, provides a list of the most popular links of sites listed on Free Feeds Directory. A search box appears on the top right-hand side of every page for quickly entering keywords to search for feeds.
To submit your feed to Free Feeds Directory, you must submit the link to the feed instead of the web page. Enter your blog's title, link, name, email and select a category. You can add a description, if you wish -- it's not required.

UncleFeed is a resource for RSS technology. The site provides a directory for finding feeds by category, a forum for discussing RSS, articles and a list of software tools. Its sister site, YeahReader offers free program for reading news feeds in RSS, RDF and Atom formats and podcasts.
When searching for feeds, the site produces the matches in a column layout along with the search keywords highlighted. You see the title, category, description and date updated (probably when added to the directory) for each entry. The title takes you to the entry's detailed page. The site is well-organized, clean and easy to use.
To submit your feed to UncleFeed, select the category and enter the URL. That's it. No registration.

nfeeds.com is a basic portal for feeds sorted by categories. nfeeds.com lists recent and popular feeds. Select a category to view the feeds sorted by hits. You can change it to sort alphabetically. Every entry comes with its feed link, a brief description and links to add the entry to Google, MSN or Yahoo. The link on the name of the site takes you to the feed, not to the site's web page or to its own entry.
nfeeds.com has no bells or whistles. The portal is just a simple directory listing along with links to feeds.
To submit your feed to nfeeds.com, review the submission guidelines to avoid wasting your time should your feed not qualify for the directory. The site only accepts XML/RSS feeds, not links to web pages.
Submit your blog's title (it must be the title not a description or keywords), feed, name, your email address and select the category. You can also add an optional description of your blog. The submission page also requires entering the code shown -- beware that it can be difficult to read the letters and may take several tries.
You'll instantly receive an email confirming that your submission went through. If your feed is approved, you will get another email.

Wikology is a wiki-based business and web site directory. Think of Wikology as Wikipedia meets Chamber of Commerce. The site lists business blogs, web sites and profiles. The business profiles contain information on the business such as the date fonded, number of employees, industry (category), annual revenue and organization type. How much information provided depends on how much information is entered.
Since Wikology is a wiki, visitors can edit almost anything on the site. But you have to be a registered user before saving changes. This ensures no one abuses the editing privileges.
Wikology has a category for blogs and its own blog, Inside Wikology, provides the latest news regarding its directory.
To submit your blog to Wikology, enter the blog's information into the Add a Company page. You don't have to fill in all of the fields.

RankingBlogs.com is a directory of sites by ranking. A blog's worth is based on the number of unique and average hits the blog receives since the last reset (no information on how often the blogs are reset).
Blogs are rated by category as well for overall rankings. Every listed blog receives direct links and dedicated individual pages that contain statistics, a description and other information. You only have to register with the site if you wish to submit a blog, but it's not required for rating and reviewing sites.
Discover blogs by browsing the category, using the search tool or reviewing the top ranked blogs. The search tool allows you to search in all categories or specific categories.
To submit a blog requires free registration and adding the ranking HTML to your blog. The form requires providing your email address along with the usual blog information.

Octora is a resource for grabbing live content feeds to add to your web site or to find blogs through its search tool. No sign up is required to use search, which provides a list of related results with links to the feeds. When you click an item, a pop-up box appears (turn off pop-up blocker to get the full benefit from the site) with the the blog's home page, the more recent blog entries and many feed subscription links. If you use Pluck, NewsBlog, Bloglines and so on, you can subscribe to the feed with a click.
Click Deep Search to find more results where the keyword may not appear in the feed title or URL. You can limit your results to keywords that appear in the feed title or feed URL. URL Search filters the results to show sites that have your keyword in the URL. The results page also lists the most popular keyword searches.
Registration is for those who want to use the My Feedbox feature. The site also has a blog providing updates.
To submit your feed to Octora just enter your blog feed. Before submitting your feed, search the site to ensure your blog isn't already listed.

iBlog Business is a business blog directory operated by businesses or corporations. Businesses are sorted into a handful of subjects and 90 categories that fall under the subjects. The directory makes it easy to discover newly added links on its new links page and on its home page.
The search tool provides a summary of each blog that appears in the search results along with a link to the category, so you can explore more blogs within that category. You can check out the popular and top rated (empty as of this writing) blogs.
iBlog Business offers a newsletter. You can subscribe to the newsletter here.

gnoos is a search engine with a focus on providing Australians with the latest online information. Though gnoos gives Aussie resources priority, the site accepts non-Aussie blogs. Plus, the search tool can search by region -- Australia, the world, or both. The home page provides a list of the top five searches and top tags long with the latest updates in Aussie blogs, Aussie media and global blogs.
In the search tool, you can search by keywords and the blog's name. Help provides more details on how to use gnoos and has a couple of screen shots showing you what each of the items in the results mean. The search results include individual posts, not just the blog.
You can leave comments about an entry, vote on the entry, and add tags to the entry to help improve gnoos' search results. Since the search results display individual entries, you can see entries from one blog by clicking on the blog's title. The search engine is simple and has a clean interface.

Ask.com is a search tool that finds answers. The site has added a separate section for blogs and feeds that searches blogs by way of Bloglines. Therefore, all blogs submitted to Bloglines are included in Ask.com's blog search.
The search results page can be viewed one of three ways: by posts, by feeds or by news. Then further customize your results by selecting whether you want to sort by relevance, most recent or popularity. Roll your mouse pointer over the binoculars to preview the site without leaving the Ask.com results page. On the far right of the results page is a list of the top feeds for the entered keyword(s).
You can directly subscribe to the search feed or the entry's feed. You can also post the entry to one of the resources listed in the Post To drop-down. When you select a resource, you're taken to the resource's Web site in a new window where you login and add information regarding the entry.
You can save an item without registering and it goes to your Saved Results page. Ask.com's search technology and Bloglines' blog directory complement each other as they provide users with an easy-to-use service.
To submit a blog to Ask, register at http://bloglines.com/register and click Add in the My Feeds tab. When you add a feed, Bloglines automatically tracks the blog.

Sphere is a blog search engine for finding blogs and adding yours. Customize the search results to select the timeframe of the last posting for the keyword you're searching. While you have a keyword in the search box, click Related Media to get photos, books, podcasts and news items containing your keyword.
On the results page, Sphere displays only two posts per blog to avoid having blogs with frequent postings dominate the page. Click Profile to see a new window with details about the blog including average posts per week, average words per post and average links per post. On the detailed profile page, Sphere displays the outbound and inbound links for the listed blog along with Quick Facts.
Here are tips for searching with Sphere. A bookmarklet for finding blog posts is available from Tools. TypePad users can download the Sphere Widget to display up to six search results in your TypePad blog's searchbar. The Featured Blogs page doesn't have an entry as of this writing.
To submit your blog to Sphere, just copy and paste the URL into the box. On the bottom of most pages is "Submit a Blog." Click that to enter your URL without going to the feedback page.

Blogmopolis is a blog directory and exchange. Use the search box to quickly find blogs by title or tags. Search by keywords, blog descriptions pr blog name. The site is very simple in that you enter keywords into the search box and it produces a list of related results. The list takes you right to the blog. It just takes two steps to start reading a blog that has your keyword(s).
The site doesn't have registration. Its purpose is to provide fast results without wasting your time. When entering a blog, you get to include six keywords along with the title and description all of which are searchable. Make it easy for people to find you by including keywords related to your blog.
To submit your feed to Blogmopolis, enter your blog URL, six keywords, description, title, category, and email address (not shared). It must be a blog and it takes about 24 to 48 hours to list it.

BlogCode.com is a resource of blog recommendations by starting with your favorite weblog (or perhaps even your own) and find others like it. This tool is based on StoryCode.com, which provides book recommendations based on the books you like. Recommendations are based not only on subject matter, but also on the style and input of the bloggers themselves and their readers. The recommendations come from the views of those who have read and enjoyed these same weblogs.
Registration is necessary so you can get personalized recommendations, but no registration is needed to submit your blog. The more people who review blogs, the better the recommendations as it takes a community to grow and sharpen the recommendations. It's a nice way to discover more blogs you like without just relying on keywords.
You can browse blogs by alphabet, or a search for a title or URL. Try searching for a blog you like. If it's in the list, then click Get Recommendations for blogs that best match your selected blog's style, content and delivery. Anything above 80% is a very good match. The site has a tool so bloggers can display the top BlogCode matches in their own blogs. This site provides a unique way of finding and sharing blogs.
To submit your feed to BlogCode.com enter your blog title, URL and submit it. The site does a search to see if it's already in directory. If not, then you use sliders to answer general, nature/type and subject-related questions about the blog such as how many bloggers, how often it's updated and so on. Once you finish, your blog is included and a list of recommended sites appears.

179) Globe of Blogs
Globe of Blogs is a blog directory that lists blogs beyond title and location. It also lists blogs by author name, birthday and topic. The directory has been up sine 2002, so it has over 35,000 blogs registered! Plenty to keep you busy for a while.
You can see how many blogs are listed for each listing type as a number in brackets appears next to the topic. The left and right side of the site list the blogs by different lists as well as recent additions and a random blog for those who like spontaneity. Of course, it has a search tool available should you want to find a blog by keyword.
It's an easy site to use and it has a lot of ways for you to discover new blogs of interest.
To submit your feed to Globe of Blogs, select New for submission type and then enter your blog title, URL, description, categories, author name, email, location, date of birth, gender and confirm whether you're 13 years and older.

Blog Resource is a directory of blogs and podcasts. The blog directory is sorted by categories with the latest listings appearing below the categories. You can also click Popularity to get a list of the top 10 blogs for each category.
Discover new podcasts using the search tool, which also has advanced search options that narrows your results by selecting the search type and where to search. When browsing categories, you can sort by title, date, rating or popularity. The entries don't have their own detailed page, but you can get the description for each blog along with the number of hits, rating and the date of the last update.
Also available are articles and reviews on content management systems (CMS), hosted solutions, Web hosts, blog tools and more. The forums have discussions on blog resources, CMSes, hosted solutions, tools and software.

Blog-Watch.com is a basic blog directory with blogs sorted into categories and subcategories. It also has a separate list for New Blogs, Hot Blogs and Top Rated Blogs. However, the Hot Blogs is currently empty and only two sites appear in the Top Rated list.
Its advanced search tool lets you specific a title, URL, description, category, contact name or Email. You can search by one item, some items or all items.
When you browse the directory, you'll come to a list of blogs from one of the lists or subcategories. These have thumbnail images of the blog along with a summary, hits, ratings and link to the blog's details. The detail page has a nice layout that's easy to scan. In addition to the basic information, it also has a chart of its ratings from Alexa and a list of the most recent entries. You can review any of the blogs by entering your review at the bottom of the blog's detail page.
To submit your feed to Blog-Watch.com, enter your blog title, URL, feed URL, description category, contact name and email. You can optionally enter a reciprocal link.

gabbr.com is a community-based social networking site that allows bloggers from various blogs to submit their thoughts for discussion in Gabbr as well as their own blogs for cross-promotion and for the building of online communities. Gabbr also has a social bookmarking service, a public news aggregator, forums, games and a trade-up application for exchanging used games, toys and books.
When users register, they get access to more services including tagging, online networking, private messaging and media linking. You don't have to register to add your blog's feed to the site. But you do have a better chance of having your feeds seen if you join up. It wasn't easy to find the submitted feeds for a non-registered member.
When browsing tags or news items - which come from feeds and users - users can comment on the items. Exploring the site, you'll find a wealth of content to keep you busy for a long time.
To submit your feed to Gabbr, enter your blog's feed URL, tags and select the content type from the drop down list (weblog, podcast or vodcast).

Answers.com is a quick reference for finding answers, and it accepts blogs. The site attempts to be different from a search engine by providing details instead of just links when you search for something. Submitted blogs become a part of the Answers.com resource and appear whenever a person is looking for answers on a topic covered in the blog.
Enter a word or two into the search box, and the results display definitions, word-related information (thesaurus, antonyms, encyclopedia references and more depending on the searched word), categories, external links and translations. Or if you're not sure what you want, check out the subjects and see where the wind takes you.
You can change your preferences to show find as your type (words pop up while your typing) and to select which languages you wish to translate.

All-Blogs.net directory contains only blogs, not just any site that has a feed. This simple directory lists many categories and subcategories on its home page. Select a category to see a list of subcategories and blogs listed in the category. To get to the list of blogs for the category, you need to scroll down past the ads.
Latest Links and Top Hits list blogs in each of these lists along with their titles, brief description and URL. When you click on these, it may look like there's no content. Again, scroll down to find the content. Not a fancy site, but worth submitting your blog as it's a growing directory.

Best of the Web Blogs is a directory that spotlights the Web's premier destinations. A team of editors reviews all sites for quality, unique content, no broken links or pictures, running 24/7 and placed in the most relevant category.
The site has two main parts: Best of the Web and Best of the Web Blogs. The former focuses on Web sites in general while the latter is for blogs. The directory has high level categories so you're not going nutty trying to decide which one to explore or submit your blog under.
You can also search blog about your currently selected category in other blog directories including Yahoo! Google, Technorati, Feedster, Bloglines and Blogpulse by clicking on the search engine's name.
To submit your blog to Best of Web, review the three steps, choose a category, click on Add Blog and review the terms. Once you agree to the terms, complete the form to submit your blog.

Flookie is a human-managed blog search directory to ensure the quality of the blog and that it's not unsavory. We've unfortunately seen many spam or junk blogs that look like they have original content when they don't. Flookie works to avoid having such blogs listed.
The directory also has a related blog with news, current events and personal stuff from the directory's author called Journal of Flookie. The directory has submission guidelines.
The author plans to add more features. Meanwhile, you can browse blogs by category or use its search box. When browsing blogs, clicking the title takes you straight to the blog's home page. It's a fast and easy directory to use.
To submit a feed to Flookie, select the category that best fits your blog and then click Add URL to [category name] and enter the URL, title, description and keywords. Be sure to read the submission guidelines before submitting your blog.

BlogXchange.us is a blog exchange site where you get more traffic for your blog by checking out others in exchange. Like other blog exchange sites, you're required to register before you can enter your blogs and start surfing other blogs to get credit. You must view a blog for 20 seconds before getting credit and moving on to the next one.
Four boxes appear and you have to select the one that matches the color of the selected box before you move to the next blog. The selected box didn't appear in Firefox 1.5 on one computer, but it appeared on another with a different screen display setting.
You can randomly earn bonus credits while surfing. You don't have the option of bookmarking blogs you like or blocking the ones you don't want to see again. You can report a Web site that's inappropriate or doesn't follow BlogXchange's rules. While you're surfing blogs, you can select a category of blogs you wish to surf and you may or may not get blogs in that category.
Occasionally, the site holds a competition where you can try to win more credits. You can create up to three banners and 10 text ads to be shown on the site to other surfers as advertisement.
To submit your feed to BlogXchange.us, start by registering and then click on My Blogs from your BlogXchange tools page. You can add up to three blogs.

Blog Search is a simple blog search engine for finding blogs, adding yours or grabbing an RSS feed. You can also add Blog Search's most popular blog sites, most recent blog sites, or both lists by category to your blog by copying and pasting javascript into your blog.
Click on Blog Statistics to see a list of the 10 most popular and 10 most recent blogs. When you select a category, the results list total number of blogs in that category with a list of 15 per page. The list of blogs displays the name and a short description. Blog Search is quick and easy to use and comes in handy when you're looking for blogs covering a topic.
To submit your blog to Blog Search, register first. Once done, click Add New Sites and enter the blog's URL, title, description, keywords and category.

BlogMighty is a search engine and directory of blogs and blog-related sites. Use its advanced search engine to find links or articles by keywords or browse the top searches. You can also browse the directory by category, by newest sites, by most popular and random picks.
The site also has articles about blogging and accepts article submissions. You can browse articles by newest, most popular and top rated. Like the links, articles also have their own categories. The stats on the home page display the number of links, articles and the average ratings for both.
With free registration, you can manage your profile, track your favorites and subscribe to newsletters. At the bottom of the home page are six RSS feeds for the site's content.
To submit your feed to BlogMighty, you need to register for free. After you've successfully registered, go to Add in the links menu.
You can save time by letting a script read your metatags and let it fill in as much information as possible for you. Once it's done, you can review and edit the information. If your site is approved, it will show up in the directory within a day at the most.
