Participant ControlsModerator Controls Main Polling WebTrain integrates several features that allow session participants some control over their ability to contribute or feedback. Particularly interesting are the participant feedback controls which allow you to provide one among four possible feedback signals to the presenter and to the other participants. These feedback controls are "OK", "No" represented by a red cross, "raise hand" to stop the presenter and a "Quesion mark" to ask a question.
Each one of the participants can click next to his name and turn on any feedback icon needed. Turning the feedback icon off requires simply to click again on it. Providing only visual clues and status information are the other two icons optionally displayed in the participants grid. These are reserved to indicate or provide access to the microphone and to showing whether the screen-casting mode is being operated. Unfortunately the tooltips and interaction mechanism designed around this visual feedback icons has not been perfected and leaves quite a bit to be desired in terms of ease of use. Nonetheless, the basic feedback controls are very useful and effective as soon as one is in control of their meaning and use.
Further controls are available to WebTrain session participants by right-clicing on other participants user names. In this case the participant can choose to private chat or to "toggle away" the status of the other one.
