Text chat is always available inside the WebEx main interface.

Text chat is characterized by the following features:

• Text chat transcripts can be saved in a file.
• Text in the chat window cannot be selected and copied.
• Each message is accompanied by the name of the person sending it.
• Private messages are allowed.
• Text in the chat window cannot be formatted.
