Weak Points

« Key Strengths | Main | PowerPoint Presentation Facilities »

  • Integration and overall interface design have been recently improved, but they are still a long way from offering a true smooth customer experience. For many aspects, the tool and how it is managed remains a bit too technical and users without technical background may not easily understand the commands and terminology adopted.
  • The chat and whiteboarding tools are not on a par with what we have been used to expect from these class of tools. Some are rich in features but have a very old and primitive interface, that is at best hard to use and ineffective.
  • The application sharing and remote control facilities allow the sharing of any program or application running on the presenter computer but they are not as easy and intuitive to operate as they should.
  • It is difficult to monitor and see who exactly is online at any time unless one is logged into the voice chat tool where there is a clear and real-time display of the participants attending.
  • Participants have little way of providing feedback during an application-sharing session unless the voice chat client is kept at all times in the foreground. No feedback tools or other facilities to provide audio visual responses to the presenter are available to participants.
  • Support is limited since most information and documentation is available online. Live support can be accessed easily by phone or automatic callback only if you are in the US or Canada.
  • Interface design needs further refinement as well as a deeper visual integration of the complementary tools utilized for specific functions.
  • Price is a bit too high for the two higher-priced offerings available and Webconference.com would do well in considering a smaller and more competitive pricing for a 5 to 10 people room.
  • Pricing of the audio over IP optional functionality is unclear and cumbersome for the user to calculate.
