Text can be fully selected, copied and pasted.

Private messages are allowed and are displayed in a different color in the text chat area.

The text chat module can be easily minimized or expanded through two elegantly designed controls.

Through the Chat button available on the main toolbar, the presenter/moderator can maximize the text chat module to occupy the whole presentation area, allowing for long text exchanges to be in full view for all attendees.

An integrated check box marked "Ask a question", provides a simple and direct way for any participant to attract the attention of the presenter/moderator with a red-marked alert showing up in the text chat area. This is quite useful also during live audio/video exchanges, when a participant wants to address an issue to the presenter without interrupting her.

Cons:

  • Chat text cannot be easily saved to a file.
  • No auto-URL, does not allow for the hyperlinks to be directly clickable.
  • No text formatting options.
