WebConference.com integrates a "Slide Show" facility dedicated to support the uploading and delivery of live PowerPoint presentations.

WebConference.com integrates a specialized module to upload PowerPoint presentations that converts them into individual JPG files automatically.

Once a PowerPoint presentation has been uploaded it is immediately accessible inside the WebConference.com main interface. Multiple presentations can be kept available at all times and can be called up at the click of a button.

Navigation through the presentation can be achieved by utilizing two handy direction arrows that allow sequential progression through the slide show.

For random access to individual slides a drop down menu provides direct access to each slide in the presentation through a list of slides numbers.

A "Best Image Quality" control automatically resizes the presentation screen to the optimal size for keeping highest display quality for the slides being shown.

Cons:

  • Unfortunately there is no quality control settings available to modify the compression quality utilized when uploading PowerPoitn slides. For quality seekers the JPG compression artifacts may not be good enough.
  • The direct access feature showing a list of slides numbers in a drop-down menu is hardly effective as the presenter has no way of remembering what is effectively contained on each slide number unless she has a numbered presentation printout available. The possibility of renaming slides or the ability to see a mini-preview of each slide could greatly enhance the effectiveness and usability of this feature.
  • When utilizing WebConference.com in Full Screen mode and activating the "Best Quality" feature part of the right screen bleeds off the right margin of the display monitor.
