Annotation Features - WhiteBoard

The main whiteboard area integrates four basic markup tools:

freehand line

straight lines

filled rectangle creator

and a very basic text tool.

The core tools are complemented by two controls allowing the selection of line thickness and of the key color utilized.

UNDO and CLEAR buttons complete the whiteboard annotation toolset.

Graphic objects and text created on the screen can be easily moved and repositioned by clicking and dragging them with the mouse.

When utilizing the Screen Sharing facility of WebConference.com a special set of annotation tools become available. This can be called up by utilizing the Alt-F12 key combination.

Cons:

Once text has been placed on the whiteboard it cannot be edited anymore.

The text tool does not allow to select the font face, style, color or type to be used.

While a full whiteboard is present within WebConference.com extended toolset, the documentation points also to an additional annotation feature which I have been unable to activate during my multiple tests.

The annotation toolset accessible when in screen sharing mode is poorly designed and does not offer great functionality nor ease of use. This set of annotation tools is not consistent with the mark-up available inside WebConference.com main presentation area.
