Video ConferencingAudio Conferencing - VoIP Main Desktop - Application Sharing The VoiceCafe OfficeMaster integrates a video conferencing facility that allows up to four concurrent video feeds to be displayed in the OfficeMaster virtual conferencing room. The quality of the video is still limited to a still frame refreshed every few seconds. The user can select the best refresh rate for each video feed. While this is a far cry from true videoconferencing it is an intelligent step to allow visual access to participants even on relatively slow dial-up connections (A 56 Kbps connection is required to have video feeds, audio and other collaboration tools running). A few simple controls are available to each participant to correctly set-up and tune webcam and video conferencing settings. Access to these controls is very simple and straightforward.
The hosts/presenters have access to an integrated an automatically loading VideoUploader tool to feed their webcam video feed to the meeting participants. Presenters utilizing the video feed capability of the OfficeMaster need only to arrange with each other on which video window they are going to upload their image (if necessary at all).
Webcam controls like the one shown here may vary across Windows versions and depending on the type and brand of the webcam used. The VoiceCafe OfficeMaster allows direct and easy access to these controls to facilitate the presenter setup and best configuration of her video feed quality. To start broadcasting a video feed from your webcam you simply need to:
A set of simple controls allows each OfficeMaster meeting participant to select which video feed to show in the center of the interface.
The four video windows on the right side of the OfficeMaster interface have each a built-in drop-down menu allowing users to select the frame rate at which to see each video feed. Dial-up users can choose a refresh rate of between 3 and 30 seconds for each one of the video windows allowing them enormous savings on bandwidth requirements. This approach, is very effective and it provides a lot of visual feedback without taxing the system as a normal videoconference session normally would.
