The OfficeMaster COLLABORATE module has an excellent and easy-to-use facility for recording an online meeting or presentation, which can be posted and made available online for others to see. Recording is very simple and straightforward. File size is also moderate and according to my tests is about 100 KB per minute.
The recording format is proprietary.

There are two recording modes: Snapshot and Continuous.
The Snapshot mode allows you to take a snapshot of the entire Viewport area each time you click the record button. Use the Snapshot mode if you don't need to show all the movements in the Viewport, this may also help the size of the recording to be significantly smaller.

The Continuous mode first takes a complete snapshot of the Viewport and then automatically records any incremental changes that occur in Viewport. Use this recording mode if you need to capture everything that occurs in the Viewport (mouse movements, button clicks, etc.).

Recordings can be saved on the server or locally. The host can playback recorded meetings stored locally by selecting the playback option on the Record and Playback control panel. If the recorded session is stored on a local machine then only the Host of the session can play back the recorded session. If the recorded session is stored on the Office Master/COLLABORATE ConnectionPoint server machine then other users can access and view the recorded session(s).

The host can decide what is to be recorded during a session:
a) Viewport "framed" screen activity,
b) voice
c) keyboard chat.

Recorded sessions can be made available for attendees to playback whenever they wish to view the recorded session.

Users can access archived recordings through the Join Public Session page on your OfficeMaster Web site (this is a page that is automatically created for you upon activation of your WebDemo account). When following the link to the archived meetings area, the user will be served a list of all the public archived meetings (or recordings) available and a list showing all the private archived meetings available to them.

To view any of these recorded meetings, the user simply selects the one to view, and then clicks on the link on the display. The necessary software (the viewer or player) is then automatically downloaded to the user's machine, the playback control panel is launched, and the playback automatically begins playing the selected file.

Timers on the control panel indicate how much time has elapsed and the total time of the recording as they proceed through the recording. The index is equivalent to a time code which can help the user better in marking or annotating specific points in the recording.
