Moderator ControlsRecording Main Participant Controls The VoiceCafe OfficeMaster provides a simple-to-use and highly effective hand-over control capability, which allows the presenter to designate participants that can take control of the Web touring facility thereby leading the live presentation. The presenter/moderator can take away such right easily by deselecting the check box appearing next to each participant's name. According to VoiceCafe: "The Check Boxes allow you to hand over to a visitor the ability to use the Page "Push" and the Co-browsing features. If checked, it would allow the selected participant to take everyone else in the room on a tour until you deselect again the name. (This is very useful when you want to give a demo of the POWER of these features without giving Moderator access.)" During a live presentation participants are listed in a dedicated panel where they appear as a face icon followed by their progressive ID entry number in the room and by their personally selected screen name. When a participant is talking his icon is framed in red. By selecting and right-clicking on a participant name the moderator can expel or ban him/her from the room.
Moderators can also MUTE ALL and UNMUTE ALL members by right-clicking on their name. While utilizing the OfficeMaster COLLABORATE facility the moderator has an even greater number of controls for which she is responsible. These include enabling voice and video capability, muting the text chat area and transferring host control to another meeting participant.
By default setting, participants in an OfficeMaster COLLABORATE session are not given immediate right to voice talk. It is the presenter/moderator that needs to select the name of the participant and to provide him/her with voice rights. The presenter/moderator can see next to each participant name, in the attendees list, a set of icons that report about the participant functionalities that have been activated or that the participant has access to. These include text chat, listening to audio, microphone rights, co-browsing, and remote control. Next to the participant name the presenter/moderator can opt to display the resolution of the participant screen or other technical data accessible through a right-click menu.
In the OfficeMaster COLLABORATE module, the presenter/moderator has an incredible number of controls at her disposition to both enable and disable individual features for each live participant and to monitor the performance and connection quality of all attendees.
The presenter/moderator can transfer presentation control to any other selected participant or terminate and expel anybody from a live meeting. The host control provides the ability to activate and deactivate each participant rights and facilities by first selecting and then right-clicking on their names.
The owner of a VoiceCafe room has also access to a User Admin area in which she can set access level rights for each user of the room by setting specific username/password combinations that allow three levels of access for users. The highest level of access (3) gives Full Administration rights to a user including her ability to change owner and moderators passwords. Level 2 provides "moderator" access, allowing users entering with this access level to conduct and drive the Web touring facility and to handout co-presenter rights to other participants. Level 1 is the basic, default access level, for all participants.
