Moderator Controls

« Recording | Main | Participant Controls »

During a Viditel session the moderator/presenter has a number of controls available to her. These include the ability to hand over the moderator controls to any selected attendees, the ability to take away chat privileges or to eject from the room any selected participant.

As the Room Administrator, you can:

  • shut down the room you created at any time, either while in the lobby or in the meeting room itself.
  • specify the number (1 or 3) of active microphones (i.e., the number of participants who can speak simultaneously).
  • go in and out of a room and still retain the status of Room Administrator for as long as the room remains open (that is, someone is present in the room).
  • transfer Moderator privileges to anyone else in the room, including back to yourself.
  • carry out all Moderator duties (see below).

As the Moderator, you can:

  • share documents and presentations located on your system.
  • transfer Moderator control to anyone in the room.
  • grant document/presentation sharing capabilities to everyone in the room.

  • restrict chat privileges (right-click the participant' s name and choose Remove Chat Privileges).
