Event Management
Event management generally comprises a set of facilities that support the presenter/moderator in planning, configuring, setting up and announcing the live event to the prospected participants. The most important function relating to event management is the ability to send out invitations. The easier this task is made to the presenter the better. Advanced event management facilities also allow settings relating to the facilities that will be made available during the live event (text chat, audio, video, whiteboard), the setting of a public agenda, the preparation of lounge area or entrance space and more.
• Scheduling
Scheduling is the facility that allows the planning of online events ahead of time. Facilities included generally comprise a Calendar, a Meeting Agenda, the creation a Meeting Room and the preparation of materials (files) to be distributed or handed out to participants to the online meeting.
• Send invitations
This facility provides the ability to send out e-mail invitations to selected participants.
• Contact list
A contact list is equivalent to a typical Address Book or to what is normally available inside any e-mail application to manage a list of your contacts.
• Cancel event and notify
This feature allows to cancel an event even after it has started and to automatically notify participants of the cancellation via email.
• Invite during session
This feature facilitates inviting contacts while a live session is ongoing.
• Integration with MS Outlook
Integration with MS Outlook allows importing of contact addresses from Outlook into the Web conferencing system, and/or the automatic integration of scheduled meeting and events inside the Calendar function of Outlook.
