Inside SmartMeeting presenters alike participants have access to the full set of features and facilities available.

All of the features and facilities available inside a SmartMeeting office space are accessible to everyone present.

For example, all of the people present inside a SmartMeeting virtual office space can communicate utilizing a shared set of body signs and expressions. These include "waving", saying "yes" and "no" (by moving the head), smiling, yawning, expressing surprise, sadness and more.

Other controls available to all participants are the ability to text chat, instant message (through the PDA), upload files and documents, access playback controls, access office lights and other fixtures (music, gaming table, electronic display panel, etc.) and more.

Individual participants can also elect to view themselves as if they had a video camera shooting from behind their back. This allows an alternative viewpoint to the default "subjective" eye view.

Cons:

  • Unless properly managed by the office manager/presenter, individuals may easily start "playing"/ testing with functions and features accessible in the office space and possibly disrupt the ideal presentation flow.
