Support for SIP Proxy and Registrar. In simple words, WaveThree Session is capable of fully exploiting the benefits provided by the SIP protocol which would allow routing functions and the enforcement of policies (for example, making sure a user is allowed to make a call). Session™ users may log in to a SIP Registrar when they initiate the Session™ application. The Registrar simplifies calling using an addressing scheme similar to email—e.g. john.smith@abc.co.com, rather than requiring the users to type in a specific IP address.

Interoperability with third party clients, servers and gateways.

Standards-based solution supports T.120 and H.323 end points from other brands.
