Event Management

Session, when purchased in its multi-point, server-based version, includes a so-called Conference Management Server Software.

The Session Conference Server includes a Conference Management Module.

The Session Conference Management Server provides scheduling services to end-users in addition to load and bandwidth management tools enabling network administrators to optimize the system for operation on their existing networks.

When scheduling a conference users can set up “Open” or password “Protected” calls. Should an initiator opt to password-protect a conference, only parties with the password may enter the conference. For open calls, participants simply enter the SIP address of conference and they may enter and leave the call as desired.

System administrators can develop individual user profiles and assign users
specific privileges in the network.

System administrators can define other privileges, including giving individual
users or groups of users the ability to establish Open or Protected conferences.

Most basic implementations will load the Conference Management Server
software on the same physical server as the Call Control Server. As
implementations grow in size and complexity, Conference Management Servers
would be distributed to optimize response time, manageability and reliability.
