Desktop - Application SharingVideo Conferencing Main Remote Control WaveThree Session integrates a full application sharing module call ShareApp, which can be easily accessed from the main interface control panel or through a simple keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+F4).
Though the module is very straightforward it remains not as easy to use as it could be due to ambiguous labeling and counterintuitive steps to launch an application sharing session. Once ShareApp is launched the user can select whichever specific application open on her computer, if not the complete desktop, to be easily shared with the other meeting participants.
There are no fine controls to optimize the application sharing session directly. The only related function available inside the Preferences menu allows the presenter to set the video output feed to be downgraded to a much slower frame rate anytime an application sharing is concurrently being run. There is no option to control the color depth settings (number of colors used), nor one to manage the refresh rate at which the presenter screen is polled and broadcast as an image to the other participants. Actually there is a basic refresh rate control available on the ShareApp interface that one can use to select/deselect “fast refresh”. It may not seem like much, but it is available.
