« Text Chat | Main | Video Conferencing »

Session offers high quality audio conferencing for any participant having at least a good dial-up connection to the Internet.

While participant on dial-up lines may not be able to utilize the video facilities of a video conference they can nonetheless participate fully in the audio part of a conference.

Audio conversations are always in full-duplex and do not require the user to ever press any button to be able to talk to other live participants.

A handy Mute button allows any participant to switch off their audio feed to the others in order to take a call or to have brief private chat with a colleague.

The quality of the audio is truly outstanding and in many instances significantly better than what can be normally achieved in a standard phone-based teleconference.

Session is capable of self-assessing whether any participant has enough bandwidth to be able to support a full audio and video session.

Session supports an extensive number of audio codecs and it employs them according top the specific conditions dictated by each one session.

Session, provides also a unique advanced feature which gives the user the ability to select as an audio input source to broadcast any of the possible audio sources normally available in his system. These generally include the CD, the mixer, the microphone, the line-in input and other complementary ones. Under ideal circumstances the facility provides for a truly effective ability to broadcast music, recording or any audio source available to the presenter as a complement or substitute for his own voice. I am impressed!
