OverviewCost - Pricing Main Key Strengths WebDemo is a web collaboration tool developed by Linktivity. In October 2004 Linktivity was acquired by Inter-Tel, a provider of voice and data business communications systems, voice-mail systems and networking applications (INTL).
Linktivity Specializes in Web Conferencing and Remote Control Software WebDemo: Real-Time Collaboration for Windows Users State-of-the-Art Core Features However, WebDemo is not the ideal tool to broadcast PowerPoint presentations and its text chat features are basic too, if not disappointing. International users, on the other hand, will appreciate WebDemo's courteous gesture of allowing them to switch between five different interface languages. On a technical level WebDemo is a very attractive product because it is capable of traversing across corporate firewalls without any additional configuration. WebDemo's security measures are sufficient for most corporate users of web conferencing software: the software provides host log-on authentication, meeting passwords and 128-bit data encryption. If desired WebDemo can operate on a certified server, allowing SSL server authentication and data encryption (HTTPS). WebDemo is available in several different versions. Pricing depends on the desired feature set and the number of concurrent users. Linktivity charges a one-time fee of US$799 for a basic version that allows three concurrent users in a meeting. An annual maintenance contract, covering unlimited customer support and software updates, is offered at 20% of the purchase price. Linktivity will host the server installation if desired. Prospective customers can test WebDemo using a free, 10-day trial license.
