Linktivity WebDemo's user interface is entirely web based and only needs a web browser to start. No additional software is required on the host's or attendee's personal computer because all WebDemo functionality is provided through the server on which WebDemo is installed.
Review Overview
This review discusses the following accessibility aspects of Linktivity WebDemo:
Using the Java or HTML Client
To fully benefit of all the available features of WebDemo a Java interface is required. If this interface is not available WebDemo participants are prompted to install one. WebDemo operates with Microsoft Virtual Machine or Sun Java Machine. Java is an object-oriented programming language specifically designed for Internet based programs. Java Virtual Machine clients may be downloaded directly from the Linktivity website.
A very limited HTML-only interface is available to those particpants who are not allowed or capable to install a Java Machine client:

With the HTML client the only available features are Desktop Sharing, Text Chat and Raise Hand.
Switching Languages
The WebDemo user interface is available in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish. The presenter may switch to a different language by clicking on one of the flags in the navigator column located to the left of the central meeting area.

Cons
Some functionalities within WebDemo do not work well with the Sun Java Virtual Machine. Errors occur when creating multiple choice questions in the polling feature and when using the Linktivity player, a tool that allows presenters to play back recorded WebDemo sessions by double-clicking on their file name.
These issues were resolved by uninstalling the Sun Java Virtual Machine and installing the Microsoft Virtual Machine instead.
The central meeting area is confusing to beginning meeting attendees. For presenters it is obvious that they should first log on to the WebDemo server in order to initiate or join a meeting. A meeting attendee, however, is not required to log on. Only the url from the invitation e-mail message is necessary. Still, at almost the same height in the welcome screen, both the LOGON button and an input control box labelled "Name" are present:

The correct method to log on is to use the text input box labeled "Name".
Conclusion
Setting up a live meeting through Linktivity WebDemo is very simple. Presenter and participants only need a Java Virtual Machine in order to access all of WebDemo's features.
