Participant ControlsModerator Controls Main Polling Participants have controls and access to facilities according to the user permission level that has been assigned to them by the owner of the "shared space". In the Windows system tray, at the bottom right of your screen, a "Groove" green icon can be right-clicked to access all of the basic Groove commands. To communicate with an instructor or presenter during a live session participants can utilize either the text chat window or an instant message to signal their request. All messages and invitations sent to other Groove users are monitored live and in real time providing immediate status notification of the exchange going on. For example: If I am inside Groove and wish to invite Joseph to join me in one of my working "shared spaces", I can simply right-click on his name and send him an invitation to join me. As the message is sent out, delivered, read, I get pop-up notifications at the bottom right of my screen, alerting me in real time of when Joseph is reading my message. This lets me see when Joseph is actually receiving the message, when he opens it and when he finally replies to me. I am immediately alerted without needing for me to go and check my email program (all this live notification can also be turned off).
As printing has been a rather weak feature of Groove, in version 2.5, print capability has been added to the following tools:
