Annotation Features - WhiteBoardGroove does not offer any type of annotation tools that can be directly utilized on the material that is being shown during a standard presentation or web tour. While Groove provides a full Sketchpad area, fully equivalent to other systems "WhiteBoard" facility, it is not possible to utilize the annotation and marking tools available here when working outside of this specific module. Therefore PowerPoint presentations, Web sites or other content to be highlighted must be pre-marked and annotated before the show. On the other hand it is possible to "import" images into the "Sketchpad" module and to annotate/mark them easily while running a live presentation. While the Sketchpad module offers a basic set of annotation tools, these lack simple but necessary controls like line thickness or a "temporary" eraser. A good selection of colors is available for both line and fill coloring and all of the drawing objects created are "vector drawings" which can be easily selected, resized, moved and deleted. In the sketchpad area it is not possible to paste an image cut from another application or a screenshot.
It is also possible to import any image in the Sketchpad area by utilizing the "Background image" button available in the main toolbar.
The text annotation facility provides access to a full featured text editing dialog box which provides extensive controls for formatting, aligning, creating bulleted lists, indenting and even cutting and pasting text blocks from other locations.
