Web-Touring - Co-BrowsingPowerPoint Presentation Facilities Main Presence Awareness N/A GoToMeeting does not integrate a traditional co-browsing facility. To navigate in synch any number of Web pages the GoToMeeting presenter can simply display those pages in her preferred browser. The difference between traditional co-browsing and the screen-sharing approach used by GoToMeeting is to be found in the different method to send the web page data to the other participants. In traditional co-browsing the presenter sends out to only the URL of the web page to be viewed to all participants with the minimum of data being sent across the network, consequent immediacy and responsiveness even on dial-up connections and the display of the page contents in the maximum possible quality on each end user display. In a screen sharing approach, the whole screen of the presenter is essentially photographed in real-time, compressed and sent over to the meeting attendees. This certainly makes for extended delivery time (unless you are on a broadband connection) and for a somewhat inferior quality of the display viewed by attendees. When screen sharing, users are seeing only a "picture" of the web page in question, and therefore are also limited in their capability to select, copy / paste, or input data simultaneously on the web page displayed.
