Web Touring - Co-BrowsingPowerPoint Presentation Facilities Main Presence Awareness Co-browsing is ezWebcar core functionality. It is well implemented, reliable and performing. It also offers some additional nice features which make co-browsing done with ezWebcar even more effective. To co-browse two or more people enter a "webcar". After sign-up one automatically gets a "webcar", but it is also possible to create new webcars devoted to different purposes or reserved for different groups. Each webcar memorizes the last page(s) you have navigated to as well as the people you have invited and certified as "passengers". Also recorded is a complete history of all the Web pages visited with that webcar, and a set of optional notes "attached" to those pages.
A unique effective feature, not normally available in other co-surfing tools, prevents passengers in an ezWebcar from clicking on links appearing on a Web page. This stops participants from getting distracted by other content not being shown by the driver and avoids their wandering off in other directions. (If they try to do so they will get an error sound, telling them that the command is not accessible to them.) Passengers can in this case formally request to "linger off" by clicking on a clearly labeled button by the same name available in the ezWebcar left vertical control pane. ezWebcar co-browsing technology permits the opening of a Web page in a new browser window by the presenter with a consequent opening of new browser windows for all webcar passengers. Similarly, when closing any additional browser window this will be automatically replicated on all participants PCs. A useful complementary feature is the ability for the driver to access any of the Web sites visited since the creation of that webcar by clicking on the "Webcar History" link in the ezWebcar vertical control pane. In the history page the driver can just click on any link listed to revisit any previously visited page. The co-browsing experience is very smooth and reliable though the most typical and annoying limitation of co-browsing technology applies also to ezWebcar (Web pages being co-browsed cannot be scrolled globally by all passengers).
