ezWebcar displays a horizontal pane at the bottom of the main browser window. By utilizing this pane you can chat with other active members of the webcar.

N.B.: If you do not see the bottom pane while you are surfing in a webcar then you need to select "ezWebcar Chat band" option from the View -> "Explorer bars" menu option of Microsoft IE.

In ezWebcar chat facility the following functions are available:
Text can be copied and pasted.
Text cannot be formatted.
No auto-URL detection facility is available.

A sound alert button, labeled with the exclamation point sign (!) is available to alert other participants of an incoming message audio-visually.

ezWebcar provides participants also with instant messaging and real-time chat facility which works with other ezWebcar users.

By using the ezWebcar instant messaging facility any user can easily find out which friends or colleagues are online.

The instant messenger integrated in ezWebcar and accessible from the ezWebcar system tray icon, sends out audio-visual alerts notifying the user when any contact is online or accesses any of her webcars.

The ezWebcar's instant messenger integrated chat system can also be utilized independently of a co-browsing session.

The instant messaging facility integrates a particularly useful feature that allows the receiving of preset audio-visual alerts when colleagues and other ezWebcar contacts come online or enter a specific webcar. Similar to what Groove Workspace offers with its tool, these audio visual warnings (which can be easily made silent or altogether turned off) provide indeed a effective alert system for managing the arrival of invitees as well as the contacting of participants in an online session.
