Convoq ASAP

Ease of Access

« Setup - Installation | Main | Customer Support »

Accessing Convoq ASAP is as simple as firing up your standard instant messenger.

No difficulties are encountered when needing to access ASAP as only a username and password are required.

ASAP can quietly sit in the system tray and can be set to automatically load when your computer starts up. In this case, which is recommended for those who intend to use ASAP as their preferred default, access to ASAP is as smooth and easy as it can get, as the tool becomes almost part of the system, sitting there available to be called up at any time.

Cons:

  • Accessing buddies and contacts inside ASAP is not as easy and comfortable as it could be. While the people in your contacts list can be grouped in any way you like, all contacts are displayed at all times, making the list hard to scan, and engaging the user attention further than necessary to find the active contacts he/she may want to get in touch with.

You can group your contacts so that ASAP displays your available contacts first and then puts the unavailable contacts last - similar to AIM. To do that, choose View from the top ASAP menu bar, and the choose "Group offline contacts".

While it is true that while working with ASAP one may be as much interested in accessing both active (online) and non-active contacts, it would also be nice to have an option that allows greater options to filter out contacts from view.
