Web Touring - Co-BrowsingPowerPoint Presentation Facilities Main Presence Awareness The co-browsing facility available through Cata is implemented as a Web page push mechanism, whereby the presenter selects a URL and sends it to all participants. The URL appears in a new browser window for all attendees who can then proceed to read that page, research and navigate further or fill out a form or questionnaire.
The presenter has no way of co-browsing a set of consecutive Web pages but by sending each specific URL to access to the meeting participants. Therefore the facility is more useful to send out Web pages as starting research points, as unique pages to be read or for filling out forms, modules and tests. This approach proves to be very useful for those situations in which you need to have your participant(s) fill out a form, an application or even a contract. In online learning situations I would imagine this to be an opportunity to send students or groups out on an exploratory/discovery mission in which they have either to research or find some specific content. A facility to preview Web pages before pushing them to the meeting participants allows the presenter/moderator to verify the availability of a certain Web page and to check its contents before broadcasting it to the meeting attendees.
