Text Chat

« Multi-Protocol IM | Main | Audio Conferencing - VoIP »

Inside Cata text chat can be set in one of three different modes:
a) Standard
b) Q&A
c) Muted

  1. Open Chat - When activated by the presenter, all attendees may type and view text.
  2. Q & A Chat - When activated by the presenter, all participants may enter messages; however only the presenter/moderator will see the questions submitted. When the presenter will respond to those questions all of the participants will see the answers.
  3. Muted - The presenter may also choose to turn off completely the text chat facility. In this situation if users send text chat messages a prompt will inform them that the text chat facility has been turned off.

Text from the chat window can be reliably copied and pasted to any other application.

Auto-URL detection is not available.

Text in the chat window cannot be formatted in any way.

A transcript of a text chat session cannot be directly saved.
