Podcast Directory is a large directory and resource for podcasting. Browse the directory by genre, region, language, popularity and buzz (what people are searching for). It even has a plug-in for Firefox for searching podcasts on the Web site. The home page features a podcast, displays several news items, lists most popular podcasts, and a list of Internet radio shows.
Scroll down the home page to see the newest and recently updated podcasts. Way down at the bottom are feeds for last items updated as well as top 10 items. A nice feature is the display of the "adult" icon so you know the podcast's contents are not child-friendly. You can comment on and rate podcasts. Each entry contains a list of recent podcasts, links to the Web site and feeds, a Google Map and an image to drag the podcast into iTunes.

PLAZOO is an RSS search engine for news feeds and blogs with many features. The Web site is available in Dutch, English, French, German, Polish, Russian and Spanish. PLAZOO allows you to search by many languages including Hebrew and Vietnamese. When you click on one of these languages, the results appear immediately.
While the site offers more than just podcast feeds, you can limit your search results to audio only by clicking on Preferences and under Filter Enclosures, selecting Audio. Search results can be saved as an RSS feed. You can search by keywords by specific category or all categories or browse the categories. Click Most Wanted to see the most popular searches. Free registration allows you to personalize your preferences and add feeds and clips to your news agent. Email and password is all that's required.

PodcastPickle not only has a directory, but also has community with its online chat and forums with podcast help, discussing podcasting issues and showing off your show. To submit a feed requires free user registration, which also allows you to create a My Favorites List.
A podcast is featured daily and on the left side of the home page, it provides a variety of lists for finding podcasts from Hall of Fame and 25 Random Podcasts to Podcasts by Language and Podcasts by Rating. There is also a search box for keyword searches. Browse podcasts by category by clicking on Genres from the top menu.
