You have many options for browsing the directory including the featured podcasts shown on the home page, top rated, newly added, most subscribers and by category. You only have to register if you wish to create a forum account or your own myPODFEED page for selecting the podcasts you like and subscribing to one feed for all of them.

This community-driven site also has forums and lets you browse its member's myPODFEED pages. The site also has a blog with updates related to the directory. The details pages for each podcasts includes the host name, feed and Web site URLs, location, description, ratings and reviews, one-click buttons for adding the feed to your myPODFEED or to email a friend, list and description of past shows and a link to listen to a podcast.

Podfeeder is a directory for searching and sharing podcast feeds. Podfeeder has a client for downloading and listening to podcasts. It runs on Microsoft Windows platforms higher than Windows 98 and it has two versions available: free and paid.

When doing a podcast search, the results display the name and description for each podcast. When clicking on the name, it takes you to the podcast's Web site. You can also browse podcasts by clicking on Podcasts, Tags or People from the navigation to see the the current Podfeeder podcast categories, the top 100 Podfeeder podcast tags and the list of Podfeeder users and the podcasts they listen to. Select a tag to get a list of podcasts for the tag along with a link to its Web site and details. The details provide a description, category, related tags, and recently updated podcasts.

PublicRadioFan.com is a directory that tracks podcasts from public radio around the world. This nicely designed and well-organized site provides many preferences for customizing the display without registration. Browse programs through the schedule guide that provides a TV guide style overview of the programs currently playing and coming up within the next hour. Each show has icons for direct access to the program or the show information.

Not all of the programs are podcasts, meaning you can't add them to your podcasting program like iTunes or feed reader. However, it's easy to find the podcasts by going to the Special Listings section on the left side of the site. Find podcasts by name or category. The podcast directory has a link to the podcast's feed, site and information ("i" icon). The information page lists the title, related links and scheduled broadcast time along with icons for direct access to the live streams. To learn about the icons and preferences, check out the New User Info page. The site doesn't accept podcast submissions.

Podcast Directory is a large directory and resource for podcasting. Browse the directory by genre, region, language, popularity and buzz (what people are searching for). It even has a plug-in for Firefox for searching podcasts on the Web site. The home page features a podcast, displays several news items, lists most popular podcasts, and a list of Internet radio shows.

Scroll down the home page to see the newest and recently updated podcasts. Way down at the bottom are feeds for last items updated as well as top 10 items. A nice feature is the display of the "adult" icon so you know the podcast's contents are not child-friendly. You can comment on and rate podcasts. Each entry contains a list of recent podcasts, links to the Web site and feeds, a Google Map and an image to drag the podcast into iTunes.
