Stockcache Gallery offers a collection of free stock photography licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 License. It also has an associated blog provides updates on the gallery as well as news related to photography.
The collection has over 800 files sorted into 77 categories. THe home page displays four random files and the four newest files along with their dimensions and file sizes. Category pages display all the images in thumbnails. Click on one that catches your eye to see a larger view, get its details, rate it, download it in its original format or as a zipped file or send it as an ecard to a friend.
The Hotlist, which appears in the top menu, displays the most popular files. Stockcache Gallery's search feature comes with a few ways to narrow your search results or you can click on a keyword from the keyword list. This is a well-organized gallery with quality photos.

unprofound.com is a collection of photos sorted by basic colors instead of the usual categories. White, however, isn't white as it's a "everything else" category. You can also use the simple search tool to find photos. The home page displays the most recently submitted photos.
The home page explains the terms of use that you can use it any way you like, but do not distribute the photos. Pick a color, any color to see its photos and the name of the photographer. Click on the photographer's name to see the person's profile and complete collection.
unprofound.com is rather a profound site with a nice collection and a unique way to find photos.

Piotr.Pix is an image database of over 900 images taken by one person. They come in a resolution of 1600x1200 and you can download and use them as long as you follow the outlined rules shown on the home page. If you want to download the 1600x1200 images, you must register for a free account. As soon as you register, check the Control Panel and modify the settings to your preference.
The images are sorted into seven categories: Nature, Creatures, Views, People, Vehicles, Misc, and Personal. You can also browse top images and new images. Once you've registered, you can click on the image to see its full size, information, comment box and rating feature. You can also add it to your favorites (Lightbox), send an eCard and download it as either a JPG or zipped file.
The page is available in English and German. The site has an advanced search tool where you can use AND / OR, select a category and select the fields to search. It's an impressive collection considering it's from one person.

Tripod Image Gallery from Lycos has over 10,000 images available for free. Images aren't limited to photos as they also have clip art and Web elements. Click on Image Index anytime to return to the Image Gallery home page to switch to the other image galleries.
The photo gallery home page consists of categories and subcategories. When you pick a subcategory, its thumbnail pages appear with just the image. Click on the image to view a larger image and to get its file size. On the image page, there is code you can copy and paste into your Web page so you don't have to download the image and then upload it to your Web page's server.

Amazing Textures is a collection of images and textures for personal use only per the license agreement. Textures are a great way to enhance a site or picture.Images and textures are grouped into three main categories: nature, urban and other. Currently, there are over 600 available for downloading.
Discover new textures by browsing categories, new images, top textures, or using the search tool. Every image comes with information on the date uploaded, hits, number of downloads, ratings, file size and whether or not a hi-res version is available. The site also comes with a lightbox feature so you can save your photos for later reference.
Tutorials are also available where you can get help with modeling, texturing and other general tutorials. If you can't find your answers here, you might try the forums. Amazing Textures offers a small and unique collection.
