How To Record Skype Calls: A Mini-Guide

Are you looking for a way to easily record your Skype calls? Then you are in the right place. In today’s mini-guide you will find many useful resources and tools that will help you do that in the simplest way ever.

The possibility to record Skype calls is not among the features currently provided by the popular VoIP software. However, there are many third-party products (sometimes also available as “add-ons” on the official Skype site) that easily integrate with Skype and let you not only record calls, but also chats, voicemails and sometimes video calls.

In this mini-guide I list a number of tools that help you record Skype calls as .mp3 files and let you store them on your computer. Most of them are available only to Windows users, but others also work on Mac computers or independently of the operating system you are using.

As always, this list does not intend to be the most complete available on the Internet: I am sure there are many tools that I did not include and that’s why I kindly invite you to point me to other tools and resources by using the comments section at the bottom of this article.

I recommend PowerGramo. I have been using it for recording skype interviews for years. It works well. Now the new version includes an offline audio recorder that is also very useful for professional users, and it make PowerGramo even more worth the price.
