Here my online collaboration toolkit for this week:

  1. Adobe Connect Now: Create free meetings online to have video calls, whiteboard and share files
  2. Conferencing Now: GoToMeeting close software allows you to share your screen with many features
  3. VoIP Communicator: VoIP software lets you have free online conversations between PCs
  4. Chattereous: Create groups and invite people with their IM account, email address or cell phone number
  5. Six Groups: Get a code and chat with your website's visitors
  6. MeGlobe: Invite foreign- language people in your chat-room, and chat with them in your own language
  7. Simkl: Save all of your IM conversations online just by changing your proxy settings
  8. PalShare: Upload and share any file up to 250MB with your friends

 



  1. Adobe Connect Now

    Adobe Connect Now is part of the new Acrobat.com of online collaboration tools. This one lets you create online meetings where you can have video and VoIP conversations, whiteboard, share files, chat, and share your screen. You can change a person's role at anytime, and move the activity pods as you wish during the meeting. The service is free to use, as the rest of the suite, after a simple registration.

  2. Conferencing Now

    Conferencing Now is a GoToMeeting clone, the famous screen sharing software from Citrix, with the only difference that it is completely free. You only have to sign up for a free account, and you can start sharing your desktop, control passing, session recording, annotation tools, and instant messaging, all in a GoToMeeting-like interface. Completely free to download and use.

  3. VoIP Communicator

    Voip Communicator is a downloadable software that lets you call people from your PC. With VoIP Communicator you can have unlimited phone calls for free, except that you use the internet and a microphone. You can also top up your account and call normal landlines at very low rates, and also instant message with your contacts. It is free to download and use.

    Chattereous is an online groups creator that anyone can use to create a place to chat with anyone else. You can create a group and start inviting people, who can join with their IM accounts, email addresses, or even mobile phone, and they can all start chatting with each other. The service is completely free to use, with no sign-up required

  5. Six Groups

    Six Groups is a free service that lets you chat with your site's visitors. Webmasters can embed the Six Groups code into their website and this will allow visitors to see who else is online and allow them to chat with each other as well as with the webmaster. Along with allowing site owners and visitors to converse in real time, Livecommunity also has a communication tool that combines and displays all activities from participating sites in real time. Free.

  6. MeGlobe

    MeGlobe is a web-based service that you can use to chat with foreign people typing in your own language. After you register, you can join chat-rooms and invite people, and you can type in your own language whatever you want, and it it will automatically be translated. The other person can also edit your message and correct you while you are typing. Free to use, registration required.

  7. Simkl

    Simkl is a web app that lets us save your MSN, ICQ, Yahoo and AOL chat histories. There's absolutely nothing to download:All you have to do is to set your client's connection to a different proxy server. After that is done, Simkl will record all of your conversations and store them on its servers. Histories can be browsed by simply logging in, and can be deleted at will. Free to use.

  8. PalShare

    PalShare.com is a web-based tool that helps you upload and send your large files up to 250MB. Simply go to the site, enter the email addresses of the recipients, and upload the large file. The recipients will receive an email notification and then they can go to the site and download the file. It features a progress bar, drag and drop function, automatic zip files and folders. Free to use, no registration needed.
