In today's selection of cool tools and online services which you may have been missing out on, the focus is on image editing, visual communication, and also on video downloading and conversion.

If you need to edit or fix some images without needing to download a dedicated software, have to rapidly set up an online slide show or create a logo in no time at all, or if you want to convert your just downloaded video clips into formats that you can more easily republish on include on your site, I think I have a few interesting tools, for you right here. Here is my selection for this week:

- PicaMob: Upload all of your pictures and get them arranged in embeddable slideshows
- Web 2.0 Logo Creator: Web-based service allows you to create personalized Web 2.0 logos for your website

- MediaMingle: Easy to use image search engine lets you search for pictures by keywords and image size
- Flish.net: Upload a video or provide its URL, convert and download it on your PC
- Movavi Online: Web-based video editing tool enables users to convert videos online up to 100 MB
- YouTube Remixer: Remix, add captions, create transitions and apply effects to your YouTube clips
Image Editing and Visual Communication

FixPicture is a web-based image editor that you can use to edit and convert pictures online. Just pick whether you want to use the Flash or HTML version, upload a picture from your PC or provide the URL, edit your picture(resize, crop, rotate, mirrorand adjust levels), apply basic effects, and choose the output format(jpg, png, bmp, gif, tiff, pdf). Free to use.

PicaMob is an online service that lets you make slideshows with your pictures. It is really easy to use: just register to the service for free, upload your pictures, and slideshows will be created automatically. You can post them on your website, download them or share them with your friends, or simply keep them for yourself by setting a password.

Web 2.0 Logo Creator is a web-based service that lets you create logos for your website or blog in a matter of seconds. After you type in your logo's text, you can resize it, pick the colors and the style, choose the font type, apply effects and transparency and, when done, just click on the "create logo button" to download your new web-site's logo. Upframr is an application that allows you to frame your photos. All you need to do is upload your photo and choose a frame. The fame selection includes black and white bold frames that vary in width. You can download the picture, embed it on your site or, if you have a Flickr account, upload it directly to your account. Free to use, no registration needed.

MediaMingle is an image search engine which is pretty simple to use: simply enter a keyword or words into the search box, select the size of the image you want and, after hitting the search button, results will populate in the left hand side bar. Scroll through the images to find one you like and click on it to view it in the main screen and select your viewing size. There’s also an option to download the image. Free to use.

Video Conversion and Download Tools

Flish.net is an online service that anyone can use to convert and download videos. Just paste the URL of a video, or simply upload it from your computer, choose the conversion options such as file format, audio and video bitrate, size, and press next. Your video will then be processed and, in a couple of minutes, will be available to you for download in the format you chose. Free to use, no registration needed.

Movavi Online is a web-based video editing tool that enables you to convert videos online with no need to install any software. You can add up to 5 files, limited to 10 minutes and 100 MB each, decide one of the available output formats, such as Avi, Mpg, Flv, Mp4 and Mov, enter your email address and wait until you get notified with the download link. Free to use.

If you haven't yet tried this out, YouTube Remixer is an online service that you can use to remix your uploaded YouTube video clips. Youtube Remixer allows you to add captions and graphics, apply borders and effects, create transitions and insert music to your YouTube videos.
