Free Phone Calls Are A Reality: JaJah Does It Again

Free calls to traditional telephone lines and mobile phones are now possible thanks to the latest announcement made today by JaJah, the same company which has recently made available to everyone online a cool web-based service to call any phone number in the world at very low rates.

The new JaJah Free Global Calling program launched today allows anyone living in the United States, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan to make completely free of charge land line and mobile calls to and within those countries.

JaJah users in Australia, UK, Germany, France, Italy and most other European countries can call free any landline. The free service can be used by just about anyone who is a registered JaJah user (free).

Having been a long time JaJah user I have promptedly tested the new service and personally verified its veridicity. As soon as I input the landline number of another JaJah user and hovered my mouse cursor on the Call button, JaJah would promptly inform me that this would be a completely free call.

How does JaJah make this possible?

JaJah makes this possible by taking a truly innovative marketing approach, which redirects the apparent live cost of calls JaJah must pay for its free users to become a marketing budget directed at supporting the powerful viral marketing effect that JaJah users enable the moment they use the service to call someone else.

JaJah pays you to call other people, so that other people can start using JaJah.

JaJah will make money on users wanting to pay for low-rates calls to non JaJah-users as well as for premium complementary services JaJah will soon start to offer, like scheduled calls or translation services.

There is really no catch. No advertising, no software with spyware to download.

You just use Jajah to make your calls.

As I have reported before, with JAJAH, you place a regular call and talk on your phone the way you always have; the only difference is that byou dial the call from the JaJah website.

You simply enter your own phone number at www.JAJAH.com, then the desired destination number, and then you click on the “Call" button. Your phone will then ring and as you pick it up, you will be connected to the other party you have selected.

JaJah integrates also SMS messaging to any enabled phone number, making it, in my humble opinion the fastest, easiest and lowest cost way I know to send an SMS to someone without having to fire up a separate application (e.g.: Skype), without signing up for one of those free-SMS services that ask you everything about your life but never quite give you full access to the send interface, and without having to bear with lots of intrusive ads.

I in fact challenge you to find a web-based SMS messaging service that is better and cheaper than this.

As you can see from the screenshot above, JaJah informs you always in real-time of the cost of any call or SMS message you may want to send, by simply hovering your mouse on the Call or Send Message buttons.

JaJah free global phone calling, which works only when you call another JaJah active user, also makes it easy for you to schedule your calls while allowing you to set the precise time and date for any call you need to make.

Other nice touches include a handy and easily accessible contact list and the ability to rapidly add any new phone number you call from the JaJah platform.

In fact, this is JaJah offering is so good in my opinion, that we must not only take good advantage of it, but also make sure, that we are responsible in its use. JaJah itself asks users to kindly respect the official “Fair Use“ policy which asks users to “play fair” and behave in a manner that best serves the greater calling community.

In simpler words, JaJah asks that everyone limits her free calls to about an hour a day, five hours a week, or about 1.000 minutes per month. If you use it more than that, JaJah kindly asks you to use some of the paid JAJAH services such as text messaging.

It is obvious that JaJah will be able to continue offer the free callling service as long as enough people will start to use some of its paid services.

More info on rates.

N.B.: Though some world countries are not yet supported by thew new JaJah Free Global Calling service, according to JaJah more countries are being added on a periodical basis. So the fact that your country is not yet listed among JaJah supported ones doesn't mean that it wil not be in the future.

In any case, in countries where free phone calls are not available, or if someone is calling a non-JAJAH member, calls are simply subject to JAJAH’s ultra-low rates which are usually less than 3 cents a minute.
