Just this evening, the RSSTop55, my directory of RSS search engines and directories where to submit your feeds, has added its 101st resource.

The RSSTop55 keeps growing, and the number of good news on this front are not going to end up here.

If you haven't already noticed, today's RSS Top 55 has become much more visual. The main page now displays a color logo for each one of the online resources listed. This makes it much easier to spot and visually memorize available resources in the list.

A new, updated and richer Maximum ExpoRSSure, 2005 edition, is also in the final stages of preparation before release. In it, I have now integrated an up-to-date ranked list of the top 100 RSS submission resources based on the following set of public popularity indicators:

1. Google PR

2. Technorati inbound links

3. PubSub Linkranks

4. Marketleap Linkpopularity

5. Alexa traffic rank values

This is how I have done it:

a) I have queried each one of the five services above and recorded the result popularity score provided by each.

b) I have weighted and converted (where needed) each one of the scores into a value ranging between 1-10 (not always a simple issue here).

c) By having added and averaged this five values and then sorted my list by the average totals I have arrived at what I consider a useful ranked list of the best places where to go to submit your RSS feed based on how effectively popular these resources are.

It took many weeks and the opinion, good advice and bad mistakes of several different contributors but I think that what I have now in my hands is a real great list for whoever needs to do this RSS submission job seriously.

I will be offering this ranked RSS submission matrix also in an original Excel file so that you can easily adjust and modify the values or add new resources as they start showing up here.

In the coming weeks a trusted Robin Good submission service will also be available allowing anyone to delegate to my Sharewood team the chore of manually submitting your RSS feed URLs to any number of RSS directories according to your own specs.

A Spanish-version of the RSSTop55 is now available to and will start providing custom support to Spanish-language RSS feeds from the beginning of next year.

Obviously you don't need to come back each day to check for new addition as there is a specific RSSTop55 RSS feed that immediately updates you on any new addition I make.
