Meet Me In San Francisco

As a few of you already know, I will be going to the US for a few days. I am accepting a generous invitation by Microsoft to review and provide feedback to one of their newest online technologies.

This special event which will be lasting two full days, will take place on the Microsoft Redmond campus and from the little news I have been able to find, will bring together a uniquely qualified group of pro-bloggers and tech journalists. I have tried to find out who the others are going to be, but there is a top secret cap hovering above every detail of this event. So you will have to wait to find out more about it.

The SearchChamp event starts off on my very birthday (October 4th), and frankly I would have been hard-pressed to find a better way to celebrate such a special day: Thousands of miles away meeting great new people I read about everyday, learning about some great new technology and (hopefully) even having an opportunity to have a stub at making it better.

But more than anything I am curious to discover Microsoft as a physical entity, and to see what kind of world it has created for and around itself. If they let me, I will be reporting about that.

In the three days following this special Microsoft event I will be in my beloved San Francisco, a city where I have spent some very wonderful and unforgettable years as a student.

There I am looking forward to meet some of the great people I have been discussing and collaborating with online and would love to have a get together of long time Sharewood friends on Friday, October the 8th.

But I have not chosen a Good place. As I have been away from Frisco since about ten years I wouldn't know anymore where it's a great site to meet and talk with a bunch of new friends. If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area and would like to join me for a very informal high-energy get-together, please don't hesitate in helping me set this up.

I would really love to get to know personally some of you.

Anyone's up?

Hey Robin

I know your travel plans are probably already made....but...

There's an interesting conference happening in San Diego at about the same time - PowerPointLive - Oct 10 through the 13th. I and many of my ICIA Presentations Council colleagues will be there. It would be a blast to see you in person. I'm sure the conference organizer could give you access to the event through press credentials. I know you would love the event. Check it out PPT Live

Many of the Microsoft Powerpoint MVP's will be there and all sort of Pres Pros and PowerPoint fanatics.

I can be reached by Skype or e-mail
