Here is a little gem that all ought to have. Can't tell you how useful I have found this... Its simply a great for those technical words and not so technical words - the nice thing is that it is available within all your programs...

It works with a simple shortcut key and it pulls up any word definition or synonim in a snap in a separate browser window.

Free, easy to install, and again useful no matter what type of computer you may have.

A great educational aid.
