- Zoho Show
Zoho Show is an online tool to create, edit, publish, and show presentations. You can import Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt, .pps) or OpenOffice Presentation (.sxi). Zoho Show allows you to edit presentations on-the-fly using a simple WYSIWYG editor. You can also choose publicly shared images from your Flickr account into your presentation. Zoho Show enables to perform remote presentations with complete control for the presenter. The presenter can see the participants in the presentation. Zoho Show is completely web-based, so you don't need to download or install anything. All you need is a browser (either Firefox or Internet Explorer) and internet connection. Free to use.
- Live Documents
Live Documents is a tool that enables you to collaborate over Microsoft Word and Excel documents with others. Live Documents works within the applications that you use on your computer and does not require you to upload documents. You can work online and offline: the content gets automatically updated whenever any change is made. Furthermore, Live Documents allows you to assign, track and manage document lifecycle tasks for reviews, editing and approvals. Free trial.
V4S is a voice messaging platform that enables you to send and receive voicemails. V4S can also send you email or SMS alerts containing a link to new messages as they come in. You can check how many messages you have even from devices that don’t have a streaming audio player (like some mobile phones). V4S will take messages for you as long as you’re logged on to Skype from the always-connected Windows XP machine where you installed V4S. Free to use.
Treemo is an online and mobile community dedicated to sharing digital media. Treemo offers tools that make it easy to post, manage, and share all kinds of digital creations in your own multimedia gallery. Treemo also enables you to take pictures, videos and more from your phone and then share them with friends: all you need is a phone with a web browser. Free to use.
Webshots is a service that allows you to upload unlimited images and create online photo albums.
Furthermore, by downloading Webshots Desktop you can upload files directly from digital cameras to your online photo albums. Besides, a desktop notification just above the system tray alerts you when new professional photos are available in the Webshots Gallery to be purchased, and when favorite members have uploaded and shared new images. Free to use.
- PDF Text Online
PDF Text Online is a service that converts PDF files in text files. PDF Text Online handles all fonts and languages (including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and more) and you don’t need to download or install anything on your computer, as it is completely web-based. PDF Text Online is still in beta, and uses Ajax technology. The EULA for PDF Text Online gives this service the right to turn your text over to third parties. Also, by downloading anything (including, presumably, your own text) you certify that it is non-proprietary. Free to use.
Zapr is an application that lets you create links to any files on your PC. You can send these links to friends (via email or instant messenger) and they can get the files directly from your computer via their browser. Once you have added your friends' email address, simply drag and drop the file onto their names in Zapr. Zapr automatically creates a link and emails it to your friends. Your friends open the link using a browser and they are soon enabled to download the file. You can also use Zapr to put a link to your content on your blog. To install Zapr, you need Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0. Free download.
Noovo is a browser-based editor which allows you to create websites homepages without having to deal with HTML and other codes. You can shape your homepage very easily, thanks to a completely Ajax-based interface. Noovo provides only a demo version at this time: you will be given a temporary account instead of formal log-in process. Free trial.
SimplyHeadlines is a service that enables you to pick news from the sources you select and receive a digest directly into your email. You decide exactly what type of news you are interested in, how many you want them to be, at what time of the day they will arrive and the order in which they will appear. You can add any valid RSS feed to your daily newspaper. No software to install. Free to use.
