For those of you who have not yet heard about JaJah, this is a new competing alternative to Skype with some unique features.
Here, in six simple steps, find out how you can freely activate this service on your mobile right now:
- To start JAJAH mobile use your mobile phones browser and open http://mobile.jajah.com
- Insert your JAJAH name (email) and password as well as the mobile phone number you are currently using (country code without 00 + area code + number, e.g. 43667123123)
- Wait for the JAJAH mobile interface to open up.
- Insert a number you wish to talk to (country code without 00 + area code + number, e.g. 4930123123) and press the Call button.
- Check the rate displayed on your phone.
- Wait for your phone to ring, accept the incoming call and wait for the other party to answer.
Here some of the international rates charged by JaJah compared with the ones charged by the most prominent competing tools: Skype and Gizmo Project.
Calls to other countries are slotted into three main groups:
a) USA, GERMANY, UK, SWEDEN, SPAIN, FRANCE, ITALY, NETHERLANDS, AUSTRALIA, IRELAND, CANADA and a few other countries for or below 1,4 cents*/minute
b) AUSTRIA, CHILE, BELGIUM, POLAND, PORTUGAL, GREECE, ISRAEL, BRAZIL, NEW ZEALAND, CHINA for or below 2,0 cents*/minute
c) in EU, INDIA, UK, TURKEY, RUSSIA, BRAZIL, HONG KONg and other countries for or below 20 cents*/minute
Consider also the following:
- JaJah rates are based on the so-called TRIPLE 5 fair pay system:
- 5 minutes of free calls, to give you a chance to check out JAJAH
- no costs, no obligations, just five free minutes to talk to any ordinary phone around the world
- 5 Euro minimum deposit for worldwide phone calls and SMS/text messages
- 5 minutes overdraft for most calls to ordinary phones.(you won’t be cut off when you run out of credit!)
- You have to have a credit on your JAJAH account to use this service.
- You will be charged for this service the amount shown on the display before you receive the incoming call.
- If the rate seems too high you simple reject the incoming call: no cost, no worries.
- The rate you will be charged is the sum of the rate to call your phone plus the rate for the recipient (i.e. 2 mobile rates if you call another mobile, 1 mobile + 1 landline rate if you call an
ordinary number, 1 mobile rate + zero if you call a JAJAH buddy who is online). - Check out your phone operator's rates to learn on which calls you can save most. And if you are abroad please mind that your mobile operator might charge for passive roaming.
- For numbers you call frequently it is easy for you to build a personal JAJAH mobile buddy list.
- You can also go to JAJAH mobile on the web and start creating there your personal buddy list.
- The highest saving can be made with calls to mobile phones in other countries and to expensive inland mobile operators.
